Funny agate story...

When I was out shopping today for beads (like I shouldn't have been!), I was sorting through the trays, trying to make a decision and one of the ladies came over on the phone to ask the other lady if she had heard of an "agate" bead, kind of pronouncing it funny. Neither one of them knew anything about it, and there was a guy on the phone trying to find one for his wife for Valentine's Day.

I quickly showed them mine on my bracelet, and then told them they wouldn't be getting any since they carried Chamilia. They hadn't even heard of it. I don't know how much luck the poor guy will have since I think all the online stores are sold out and most of the stores in the area now carry chamilia as well.

I was wondering if the non-preferred dealers even hear about the special editions any more? It seemed like they were bumped down on ordering status for the new beads as well. As a gold dealer, they used to get the new beads pretty quickly.

Has anyone actually been to a store that has the new beads yet?

Yes, my store got them on Friday... She is a gold premier.
She has about 24 agates - I have set aside 4 - Need to go get more... lol

You would think that the dealers would want to be more informed about their stock. All they need to do is check out the web or ask their TB dealer. It is great that we are so well informed here and share our sources :wink: :wink:

I imagine most dealers aren't as focused one one brand as we are! My LD never knows about new additions or LE till I tell them, but as soon as I ask they order. Even as a silver dealer, and a very small one at that, they still mange to get them in for me ASAP :D
