Trollbeads is unique jewellery. Each bead has its
own little history, taking its inspiration from mythology, astrology,
fairy tales, fauna, flora, cultural diversity, and last but certainly
not least, in the familiar things of everyday living.
What is
most distinctive about Trollbeads, apart from the original design, is
the use and combination of fascinating materials. The beads are made
from the highest quality raw materials including sterling silver, 18
carat gold, Italian Murano glass, natural pearls and precious stones.
The original models are typically created in hard modelling wax – cast
and finished in metal. Some models are then set with stones. And other
models are created directly in molten, red-hot glass.
The
concept of Trollbeads charms was developed over the past 25 years.
Today, eighteen Danish and internationally renowned jewellery designers
create the beads. There are more than 200 different models. The full
collection can always be viewed at www.retiredtrollbeads.com
Tell your own story – create your own jewellery.
The many different symbols, flowers, animals, zodiac signs, colours and
materials offer you endless variations and combinations, making the
jewellery both unique and personal. You can start with just one bead or
be bold and begin with a collection. The beads can be worn on a silver
or gold chain – as a bracelet or necklace.
Create your own charm over time – wish for trollbeads, it gives others the opportunity to be part of your story.
Trollbeads have won international artistic recognition and have
recently been exhibited at Sculpture Objects & Functional Art in
Chicago and New York.

The Beadcage Designers 2009 Trollbeads Valentine Bracelet, Valentine's Day is a holiday celebrated on February 14. It is the traditional day on which lovers express their love for each other; why not give the one you love this wonderful keepsake that will keep showing how much you love them all year round.
The first time I set eyes on a Trollbead bracelet I was enchanted ... enchanted by the beauty of each little bead as well as the story it seemed to tell.
I had a birthday coming up and asked my family ... husband, daughter, son, brother, sister mum, granda, aunt, uncle etc. to buy me a bead ... I ever ask for presents but somehow the beads made me feel sentimental, and I wanted a bead that would remind me of them ...
My husband bought me Valentine ... which goes to show that after 14 years of marriage our love is as strong as ever. My beautiful daughter bought me the mermaid ... I use to call her my little mermaid My gorgeous/funny/cheeky little son bought me the baby troll ... perfect match! My Granda bought me Forget-me-not ... I never will, he is incredibly special to me. My Mum bought me the little kitten ... what can I say, she has lots of cats! My sister bought me the castle ... because I had helped her to buy her first home. My brother gave me money to buy my own ... at least the thought was there. My aunt and uncle bought me Faith Hope and Charity which represents them beautifully as they are committed Christians and my uncle is captain of the Boys Brigade, so the cross and anchor are perfect. Even my mother-in-law and sisters-in-law bought me beads - the blue set.
When other members of my family/friends asked about my bracelet I told them what each bead meant ... and guess what, many were also enchanted and three (including my daughter) have started collections of their own ... at Christmas we had so much fun giving and receiving beads.
My favourite present was the gold and silver star bead which my husband bought for me - it was a total surprise. My collection has grown rapidly and I have now started a second bracelet.
My bracelet is more than a collection of pretty beads - it is a circle of love ... and I just hope the love continues to grow and grow.
